I identify as a queer, first-gen african womxn existing in a bigger body. I am the child of two nigerian parents who came to the United States “in hopes of a better future.” The intersection of my identities significantly influenced how i was (and continue to be) viewed by society and created very clear barriers to accessing community resources.
